Identification[edit]

This species of sea star has five long tubular limbs which are rounded at the tips and with short yellow tube feet. It's firm in texture and the colours range in shades of blue, sometimes with spots towards the end of the arms. Turquoise, purple and orange variations have been sighted in the wild.
